A dream come true - "Dueling with the King", 5-time World Banjo Champion Raymond Fairchild. This took place at the June 9 & 10, 2006 Conasauga Bluegrass Festival, Dalton, GA. (Maggie Valley Boys' Band Member "Kid Outlaw" is pictured at right).
Garrett was a featured guest performer at the Maggie Vallie Opry this past July 6 and 7, 2006

Garrett won the second place prize at the North American Country Music Association
"Instrumentalist" Competition.
Competition was held March 9, '07 at Pigeon Forge, TN.
Garrett won the second place prize for Banjo Picking held at the Booth Western Art Museum. Competition was held March 10, '07 at
Cartersville, GA.

Pictured to the left: Garret holds his 1st place awards for "Instrumentalist of the year" and "Video of the year" from the GA Country & Gospel Music Association. The awards were received Nov. 17, 2007.
His first performance shown on YouTube was at age 13; his second performance at the Maggie Valley Opry, was at age 15. In only about one week his YouTube performances have garnered 500 hits.
